“I am a highly motivated qualified compliance professional with over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry across all aspects of general insurance including retail and wholesale markets. As well as being a Fellow of the International Compliance Association I am also a Member of the Institute of Leadership & Management.
Previous roles have meant that I have extensive expertise in regulatory due diligence, acquisitions and integration work; implementing and managing successful compliance monitoring frameworks; creation of complaint management frameworks; design, build and implementation of both 1st and 2nd line quality control regimes as well as involvement in regulatory enforcement action, oversight over agency management and a detailed understanding of a number of topics such as Conflicts of Interest, Client Money, SM&CR and Consumer Credit.
I took an active role in supporting the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) including being the Chair of BIBA’s Regulatory Working Group, a position I held from 2015 until I left in 2019 to set up Tizza Compliance. During my time at BIBA I contributed to a number of industry initiatives including premium finance, conflicts of interest and the Insurance Distribution Directive”.
Whether you are looking to sell your business or buy another firm, the regulatory compliance of a firm can be a critical factor and can be as important as a firm’s profitability, especially when legacy liabilities are at risk.
Having been involved in a significant number of acquisitions from both sides we have extensive experience of what good looks like, and more importantly what it doesn’t.
So if you need a thorough assessment of a targets compliance framework or your looking to get your own fit ready for sale we can provide a detailed assessment including a risk assessment and proposed action plan.
If your Board and Senior Management Team need assurance around the compliance health of your business we can provide a thorough review of all aspects of your regulatory framework making appropriate recommendations.
But unlike other Compliance Consultants, where changes are needed we can provide the solutions. These visits can conducted on either a regular or one off basis.
Having developed a number of 1st and 2nd line monitoring programmes we can provide tailored solutions to suit your needs whether this is through us undertaking a 2nd line review of your sales, service or complaints functions, or alternatively, if you are looking to review and enhance your own 1st or 2nd line function we can review and make appropriate recommendations, providing bespoke procedures, documentation and training solutions to support.
Once you have engaged with us we will always be on hand to provide any guidance and advice.
This can range from simple advice requiring minimal time which will be provided free of charge to more substantial work which will be discussed and agreed on a case by case basis.
As well as undertaking a review and providing recommendations on your internal complaints handling activities we can ensure that your processes, procedures and documentation remain fit for purpose.
Whether you have policies and procedures in place that need an overhaul or you’re looking to implement a new product or scheme that needs regulatory involvement we can help you manage that change effectively and efficiently.
Whether you are an MGA, Lloyds Coverholder or Broker who provides delegated authority (DA) to third parties, we can undertake an annual review of your DA’s to ensure your third parties are operating to the required standards expected of any outsourced function.
Whether you are looking for a bespoke training solution or one of our standard products, we can support a wide range of face to face training solutions to suit your needs.
